Why I Stopped Making New Year’s Resolutions (And What I Do Instead)

For decades, I watched people set New Year’s resolutions with good intentions, only to abandon them weeks later. I used to do the same, until I found a better way.

Instead of resolutions, I debrief my life.

Once a year, I sit down with someone I trust and reflect honestly on what actually happened. No guilt. No shame. Just learning. That simple practice has guided my decisions, clarified my priorities, and brought more peace than any milestone or achievement ever did.

In this video, I walk through the questions I ask, why reflection beats perfection, and how any day can become a reset if you’re willing to pause and look clearly.

You don’t need a new year to change direction.

You just need the courage to review where you are and adjust.
